Dr. Carmack has obtained the following achievements:

  • 25 peer review journal articles, 2 Nature papers.
  • Part of the team that produced the first fully human monoclonal antibodies in mice
  • Helped develop the immunodeficence mice used for producing ipilimibumab (Yervoy) and nivolamab (Opdivo) from Bristol-Myers Squibb
  • Invented and wrote the first paper on quantitative PCR
  • Helped organize ISCA (International Standards for Cytogenomic Arrays) Consortium which later evolved into ClinGen
  • Helped organize the clinical trial of the use of microarrays in fetal testing for genetic abnormalities. (Part of the ACOG recommendations)
